Questionsanswered

How does video to prompt work?

Your browser finds the cuts, takes still frames and measures how the camera moves: four from a video up to a minute (four over a single shot, or one in the middle of each shot), eight from a longer one up to 3 minutes (shared among its shots by their length). Only those frames and measurements are sent. A vision model reads them in order and writes one prompt, shot by shot: what happens, the camera's move, the light and the look.

Which videos work?

MP4, MOV or WebM up to 3 minutes that your browser can play. A video longer than one Seedance clip (4 to 15 seconds) is written shot by shot, so that each shot can be made as its own clip.

Is my video uploaded?

No. The video stays on your device. Only small still frames are sent (four, or eight for a video longer than a minute); they are read in memory for the analysis and not saved. The written prompt is kept for a day under a one-way fingerprint of those frames, so the same video gets it again for free.

Is it free?

Yes. It costs no credits: 10 analyses a day.

Which language is the prompt in?

The language of the page you are on. In any language but English, an English version comes with it, because Seedance 2.0 is documented for prompts in English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese and Indonesian.
