Termsof service

The agreement between you and us for using Pershot.

The Service is operated by Hongkong Hongzhao Technology Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong (company number 77605835).

01Who we are

Pershot (the Service) is operated by Hongkong Hongzhao Technology Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong (company number 77605835) (we, us). These Terms are a contract between you and us. By creating an account or using the Service you accept them.

If you use the Service for a company or other organisation, you confirm that you may accept these Terms for it.

02The Service

The Service lets you generate and edit video and images with third-party AI models, currently ByteDance Seedance 2.0 and Alibaba's open Qwen-Image models, through our web studio, our API and MCP connections.

Features marked as preview may change or be withdrawn.

03Accounts

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live. Keep your login details and API keys secret: you are responsible for activity under your account and keys. Tell us at support@pershot.app if you suspect misuse.

04Credits and prices

  • Credits are prepaid units for using the Service. At the standard top-up rate, 1 credit = US$0.01. Every job shows its price in credits before it runs.
  • Credits are not money. They have no cash value outside the Service and cannot be transferred or resold.
  • Top-up credits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase; whatever is unused after that expires. Membership credits last until the end of the paid period they came with. Promotional credits carry their own expiry date. Your balance shows each date, and credits that expire soonest are used first.
  • Any free allowance we offer (free credits or free tries) is described in these Terms or in the offer that gives it, with its limits and expiry date. We do not take back an allowance you have received, unless it was obtained by breaking these Terms.
  • We may change prices for future jobs. A quote you have accepted is honoured while it is valid.
  • Taxes may apply and are shown at checkout.

05Quotes, holds and charges

Before a job runs we show a quote. When you submit, the quoted credits are held. We charge when the job is delivered, and release the hold if the job fails, is cancelled before the model provider accepts it, or its content is rejected.

If only part of a job fails, such as an enhancement step after a render, only the failed part is released. Every step is recorded in your ledger.

06Refunds

Refunds follow our Refund policy. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

07Your content and outputs

  • You keep your rights in what you upload (Inputs). You give us a limited licence to host and process Inputs only to provide the Service.
  • We do not claim ownership of your outputs. As between you and us, any rights that exist in the outputs of your jobs are yours, and we assign to you any rights we may have in them.
  • Subject to these Terms, the model providers' terms and the law, you may use outputs of paid jobs for any lawful purpose, including commercial use. We take no share of what you earn from them, and you do not need to credit us.
  • Free, watermarked outputs, when offered, are for non-commercial use only, unless you unlock one: for the price of the same output, or by using it as the first frame of a paid video. An unlocked output is a paid output under these Terms. Do not remove the watermark in any other way.
  • These rights cover outputs, not the Service itself. You may not resell video generation, or build the Service into another platform or AI content creation tool where other people generate videos, and you may not use video outputs to train or improve AI models that compete with our video model provider or its affiliates.
  • AI outputs may not be unique, and others may generate similar content. In some places, including the United States, copyright does not protect material generated purely by AI.

08Acceptable use

You must follow our Acceptable use policy. You are responsible for your prompts, your Inputs and how you use outputs, including rights in any person's likeness or voice, trademarks and copyrighted material.

When our checks or a model provider refuse a prompt, an Input or a result, we tell you which rule refused it, and you can appeal from the studio. A person reviews every appeal; nothing is decided automatically. We announce changes to these content rules at least 30 days before they take effect.

09AI-generated content

Outputs may carry visible labels or metadata identifying them as AI-generated where the law requires it. Do not remove or alter these labels, and disclose AI generation where your audience or the law requires.

10API and MCP

Connections to AI agents (MCP sign-ins, connection codes and the command-line sign-in) act on your account and spend your creative balance, like the studio. Developer API keys act on your account and spend your developer API balance. The two balances are separate, and neither covers the other. Paid calls need a quote or a spending cap. Rate and concurrency limits apply. Do not share keys or connection codes, and do not use them to resell raw model access.

11Third-party models

Models are provided by third parties: ByteDance Seedance 2.0 through BytePlus, and Qwen-Image models under the Apache-2.0 licence served by Runware. Their terms may also apply to your use.

Seedance is a trademark of ByteDance and Qwen is a trademark of Alibaba Cloud. We are not affiliated with either company.

12Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may update these Terms. We will give notice of material changes before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the updated Terms apply.

13Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or the Acceptable use policy, or where the law requires. You can close your account at any time; unused top-up credits are handled under the Refund policy.

14Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided as is. AI outputs can be inaccurate or unexpected, so review them before you use them.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

15Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without taking away mandatory consumer protections where you live.
